The Lord Binning Pub & Kitchen, Kelsall, Cheshire
For a special treat, we booked in for lunch at the newly opened Lord Binning Pub & Kitchen at Kelsall. And what a treat it was. The Lord Binning is set in the most tranquil of settings, far enough away from the hurly-burly of the main roads, but well worth a detour to pay a visit.
We were greeted by Paul Newman, partner at the Lord Binning, and were spoilt for choice when it was time to order. Paul showed us to our table and discussed the menu with us. The food was plentiful, fresh and very tasty. Continue reading

Bistro du Vin Soho Installs By The Glass® 16 Bottle Wine Dispenser
Following hot on the heels of the successful Clerkenwell Bistro du Vin, Time Out London reviewer Euan Ferguson visits the recently opened Dean Street Bistro, and notes that the Hotel du Vin group have managed to evolve with the current trend of bistro eateries. In his column, Ferguson reports that the Bistro du Vin concept provides an ambience that is fitting of the trendy Soho set and shows no hint of its evolution from the Hotel du Vin stable. Robert Giorgione Hosting Tastings at Vagabond Wines
We’ve had some exciting news about one of our installations. Robert Giorgione one of the foremost sommeliers in the UK, will be hosting a series of tastings at Vagabond Wines over the coming months, showcasing a number of interesting wines and all based around different themes.

Boutinot Wine Tasting
We were invited to display our By The Glass Wine Dispenser and Preserving System at the Annual Boutinot Tasting, held this year in Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall. Paul Boutinot, Danny Spencer, and Nigel Wilkinson MS hosted the event, showcasing the new range of wines for this year, as well as the Boutinot favourites.
The main tasting was held in one of the circles, giving amazing views of Manchester (yes they do exist!) from the ultra modern Beetham Tower, to the grandeur of The Midland Hotel. Continue reading
iPad Wine Lists
Digital wine lists are cropping up in restaurants all over the world as restaurants have began storing their wine lists on iPads. Like traditional wine lists, the iPads are handed out to diners.
The New York Times interviewed a number of restaurateurs who have been experimenting with transferring their traditional wine menus to the digital platform, the paper claims the device has lead to a 10% rise in wine sales. Continue reading

Serving Wines At The Correct Temperature!
Temperature is probably the most crucial factor to appreciate any wine at its optimum best. Glass style, food and environmental conditions all play a part but serve your wine at the wrong temperature and it just will not develop to its true potential.

When the clocks went back an hour on Sunday, Winter arrived! I’m not sure if people elsewhere in the UK felt the same, but I can speak for everybody living ‘Up North’ that this past week has been wet, dark and miserable!
