WestBeach installed a By The Glass system with their wine supplier, to boost wine sales, and promote a greater selection of wines by the glass. The system allows the owners to open fine wines and have them on offer at all times, without the risk of oxidation, temperature increase and over-pours. The system is sat behind the bar, and is for staff only.
Results
A key way the system has improved sales of fine wines, both by glass and bottle, is by the ability to offer tasters of wines. By taking the risk out of the customer’s purchase, it means that customers are happy with their wine before they have bought it, and often will buy something more expensive that they wouldn’t have considered without trying it first.
